Richard started Insight over 20 years ago and has seen the organisation grow into a successful consultancy and he is still integral to its development. As the owner of the company he has now appointed a Chief Executive, Mark Glinwood, to run the organisation on his behalf.
Richard is an experienced businessman with a diverse and growing portfolio of commercial interests.
Richard has considerable industrial relations and business management experience within a range of industries. He has a recognised expertise in organisational development affecting large numbers of employees subject to TUPE. Working alongside employers he demonstrates a sound knowledge of Best Value, Performance Management techniques, employee motivation, recruitment processes, marketing and the delivery of cultural change. Working within multi-disciplinary teams, he has a reputation for being able to “make things happen”. He can “put across” complex issues in an easy and understandable way.
He has been a Chairman of an NHS Trust and a non-executive Director of a Strategic Health Authority. He has led in strategic planning, primary and social care development as well human resource challenges. He has Chaired an Audit Committee.
With an excellent knowledge and understanding of governance issues he regularly advises Boards on best practice, remuneration and/or effective operating structures.
